Don't use nitrous. You never hold it for the same time, thus it can affect the result. It won't give you the actual lap times you'll get during the run, but it should be more accurate, unless the nitrous has different power for each car.

I've noticed you don't drive exactly same with each car. This can affect the result (even crashing into a sign can change the lap time significantly). Especially the lap with Elise has several small bumps.

I don't know how many laps of this track you did, but as you get more used to it, you generally get faster, so it might be a good idea to redo some of the early laps.
kirkq: There are very few runs in the entire series, so I can pretty much handle it on my own since speedrun.com is basically my homepage now :D There was another supermod, but he demoded himself couple days ago, and I can't really find anyone suitable at the moment :(
TAS means Tool Assisted Speedrun and is usually done using emulator's features like savestates, slowdown etc.
Gameshark codes are simply cheats.
Would it be possible to unmod a supermod? hypnoshark in http://www.speedrun.com/need_for_speed has created this game series, but unfortunately he accepts all runs without even watching them or checking if the timing is correct, which in many cases isn't. I already had to reject several runs that didn't follow leaderboards rules or were flawed in some other way. The whole community thinks he shouldn't be a mod, so we tried to contact him on twitch and here on forums, but no response after more than one month.
So we are kinda stuck :( Can something be done about this?
You can't set different categories for different levels :(
hypnoshark, could you please NOT accept every NFS run that is in verification? There have been several cases, when other mods had to reject a run accepted by you, because it either didn't follow the rules, or the video was incomplete, or some other reason.
Thank you.
One segment per race should be best. Also, since the mechanics of this game are a bit complicated (events spawn), it would be a good idea to make a practice stage 0+1 run, so that we can watch it and eventually point out things to improve.
Whenever someone tries to submit a run for "Secrets" category for this game: http://www.speedrun.com/tr2 , the "Saves" variable have no options. "Any%" and "100%" categories have this working properly and everything seems to be set correctly. Can you please have a look?
Doesn't seem to work for me on US-5021. I followed the instructions and switched to game timer.
Nope, there is no way to manipulate it. Not even loading the same save produces the same result.
Yeah, I should test how much effect it has on loading times. Maybe less bystanders and asking people twice will save more time.
If you use 30 bystanders setting, you should have enough people around to only ask them once.
I've retimed all the current PBs according to the new timing rules, so make sure you read it before you start your next run. I also fixed a couple dead links and couple old runs that had a really bizarre time. If anyone sees an issue, please report it here.
I think this will be solved once mods will be able to create multiple leaderboards (I think it was promised).
That's my problem to retime all runs. Since the vote ended up with 6 to 2 for changing the timer start, I will implement it soon.
