Maybe delete some files/folders in the game directory?
Hmm, that's a very interesting problem. It seems to me like something that should have been banned from the beginning, but original mods didn't do it.
I think we will have to create subcategories, if you agree. Does this only concern NG+ category or NG as well? What about coop runs?
No, PC version is different in terms of gameplay and menus, so if you install it on PC, it's not the same game, so the only way to play the PS version without having an actual PS is emulator. He either likes the PS version more or he wanted to beat your times. Do you understand now?
From what I've heard about console loading times, they are inconsistent even between original systems due to CD/DVD/Drive condition, so it's pretty much impossible to say if emulator has faster loading times.
You might have a slightly different framerate, especially if you use ePSX.
Different hitboxes, different visual cues, potentially new bugs or crashes, and so on.
How do we know you didn't use the gofast cheat? You said it yourself that it's impossible to get that time without it...
Yeah, we will probably create "Tournament - PC", "Tournament - PSX" categories, just like in many other games.
There's also 3DO and Saturn versions, but probably only 3DO version is worth testing.
The question is if it actually makes the car go faster. If not, I see no point of creating separate leaderboards yet.
Because not all real cars have these assists :) Remember, NFS1 was sort of a simulator.
Doesn't matter, PC version really has these options. I wonder how they affect car handling.
Yeah, tournament and knockout modes will most likely have some real-time difference. I think we shouldn't split the platforms yet, especially since noone actually made such run, unless someone proves there is a difference in gameplay.
Let's just keep this open for discussion, if this game becomes more popular.
Wouldn't you have to do 4 laps race to get the fastest lap, anyway? :)
I'm not a runner nor mod of this game, but here's my 2 cents:
Quicksave: I think that's okay. It's just a bind command.
Infinite stamina: Seems like a cheat to me: www.ign.com/wikis/wolfenstein/PC_Cheats Doom 3 has similar commands that allows you to change movement speed and it's listed under cheat codes on Doomwiki: http://doom.wikia.com/wiki/Doom_3_cheat_codes
Flamethrower: It seems to be a DLC with a really strange activation, but can't see anything wrong with it.
FOV: Unless the fix was oficially released, I wouldn't allow it. Same for head bobbing.
Here's the source page in case mods want to take a look at it: https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Wolfenstein#Patches
Should we allow Speedbreaker in ILs? We don't allow it in MW2005 and Carbon, because it messes up with the in-game timer.
This run use it: http://www.speedrun.com/run/y8qq7dxy
