Like pollsmor mentioned, I imagine the category is unpopular because it doesn't add anything interesting. I mean, I'm a fan of any% hard mode, which in my opinion adds some interesting changes because of different pick-ups, different boss fights and a different Tourian, but I am definitely a minority, and 100% hard mode has even less variation from the normal 100% category.

Earlier in the run, you set up a glitch of sorts in Sanctuary with a cannon. It allows you to keep the properties of being in a cannon (being completely invincible and doing a ton of damage) whenever you're in morph ball mode. Most bosses aren't vulnerable to that morph ball damage, but Adult Chykka is for some reason. There's more to it, but someone else can probably explain better than me.

This glitch is also part of what makes 6% possible in the first place: it allows you to the Quadraxis skip without grabbing dark suit or extra e-tanks.

Some of the clips that are only doable in the English version could potentially save a bunch of time, but they're not really practical outside of tool-assisted runs. So the main difference is the room right before you grab diffusion missiles, which is bigger in the JP version and therefore you lose about half a second of IGT in that room playing on JP.

So I'm an idiot and missed the discounted deadline. The website still gave me the discounted price, however. Should I expect to pay more at the event, or did I simply luck out?

Description: The first of the GBA Metroids. It's fairly story-driven and linear, which unfortunately means a lot of text and downtime. It makes up for this by having a lot of tight movement and probably some of the cooler boss fights in the series, including the loudest Ridley ever.

Oh also, I normally play the Japanese version, but I could also play the English version. Obviously a run with a fair bit of text might be a bit more entertaining to people if they can follow the story along the way. If you want me to play on English, add 3 minutes to the estimate.

Alright, thanks for the quick reply. I understand not being able to work around other events. I'd still like to sign up and hope for the best anyway. If you feel that's too troublesome, I imagine you can always just cut whatever game I sign up with early.

I'll at the very least be watching a lot of it - this'll be my first dreamhack so I'm really looking forward to the whole experience.

I'm mainly going for Smash, but I'd definitely submit a couple of games for this as long as they don't overlap with smash. Could you elaborate a bit on the complimentary package? Should I not buy an event pass?
