Third, you have zero runs for any game in the series itself.

Fourth, SwitchVC isn't a thing and it's not even an actual platform, these runs could simply be tagged as emulation runs if that's such a problem. Though didn't think get a disc release? You could you know...explain to the moderators about it and they could easily get "Switch" added.

Fifth, all things considered you still have two active super moderators on the game have you not made a single attempt to express what your actual problems are to them? If you have, maybe I should suggest to get T3tsuya and Kryptek to communicate with us.

sixth, this was also a request for series moderation and let me be frank, we have zero reason to add you as one with just the small handful of things listed above.

Seventh, just because someone isn't part of some discord community doesn't mean they aren't allowed to moderate a game more so if there is still a form of contact with one another among moderators.

It's worth adding that the reason they removed the digital AV was because you had to literally order it off Nintendo's website which costed quite a bit at the time for a cable ($50 IIRC on their website), Nintendo just didn't see the overall benefit I suppose and at the time, it makes sense they went this route.

These days, you can only find the cable off sites like ebay which are second-hand and run up to upwards of $100+ dollars. I've heard there was a project somewhere that was going to make their own special cable for that slot for a much lower price to take advantage of the video quality, not sure what became of that.

That's on the moderators of those games to fix those links.

At one point I can understand the mindset behind it, but this would've had to been a long, long time ago, most communities just don't have that kind of thing at all and the few that do tend to make use of it in that regard but I think its kinda shitty that the many games that can't do this aren't allowed to provide anything at all for the game. Plus the way I see it, if no one wanted a feature like that removed it would have to be something only staff could manually approve and add which I'm going to be honest I really do not want more nonsense on my plate for something trivial.

I mean christ, in the game queue we generally get resource links of various media all the time and if you can't fill it with anything I don't see anything wrong with providing information about a games background.

I simply encourage users to provide extra content to their leaderboards regardless of how minor it is. I think everyone can understand this mindset and would be behind it, can it be a little annoying? Sure, but in the end they likely just don't have anything else to provide and I personally do not mind reading more about a games background history.

With how much series have changed, we won't delete them. Since Dead city has no runs, I've removed that one.

I don't see why it actually matters, even if your game doesn't have anything for it I would gladly and happily take a simple game resource page that just talks about what the game is, what it features, etc. People take so much crap so literal on here that its sometimes laughable, could I get these results from a three second google search? Yes, but that's not really the point because the majority of games outweigh the few that can properly use it either way. Seriously, do you guys not actually realize how few games have dedicated sites/pages to begin with?

Who knows, maybe that simple wiki game page might help a few people make some effort to run your game if they knew what the exactly the game even was?

In short; I personally only want to see game leaderboards link off to sites/pages related to the game or community itself. If its being used to place illegal content, pornography, etc then it needs to be reported so we can do something about it. The reality is to straight out to remove it instead because it has very little practical use if you focus solely on a dedicated website or/and page.

Also this is exactly why we do not approve of people speaking for others, it causes issues and confusion. @_Smiley Even though you moderate a handful of the games across the series, you can't just insert yourself onto the board just because you have experience or series mod status. If you want changes to happen, you'll need to at least make the effort to contact these people at least once and submit a run to the board.

Making this thread so that it can be made apparent that we want communication to be more open, we also are aware that when a game is rejected there is generally a miscommunication and things sometimes get taken out of context. There have also been a handful of questions regarding the process or why something was accepted/rejected from awhile ago so we aim for this channel to be directly related for game requests discussion and support.

Here was the discussion from the user at the top, note you need to already be in the discord server to directly reach it. It is not a long read and there are enough valid points as to why it isn't happened and Spleen towards the very end also chips in with the issues of ILs.

A few new buildings, its been a week and this isn't really all of it but the bridge and the badlands buildings are probably some of the highlights of the week. There's a couple of building around the spawn I really want to fix, but they aren't my builds so I'll probably help pitch a hand for them at some point.

@Vectorman0 I personally do not expect this game to grow, it is too obscure compared to many other golf games but this isn't up for debate as the technicality of this is much larger than the scope of discussion and the reasoning behind this is larger than just from a speedrunning point of view.

As with any leaderboard; Do not force empty categories that people do not provide any runs for. Just because a category exists does not mean anyone will run it at all. If people start posting runs in this forum or the discord showing that the interest is there then by all means add the categories. If it means this much to you, then start providing runs to RnG and see if others participate as well it is not very hard to add these categories/variables but again just adding them for the sake of it is not healthy for the leaderboard itself. Actions speak louder than words, and while that may bother you some but considering you haven't run the game nor submitted any runs to the game I do not personally believe your opinion should be held very high and runners of the game should be the ones expressing their views and opinions as it makes no sense to cater to people that don't...well run the game at all. Don't take this to heart but look at it in another angle. We understand your views, but you do not speak the community itself.

One example of this is when I decided to accept IL courses because many people were providing runs for them and thus I decided to create it. I'm quite sure RnG feels the same way, as far as I understand currently is that; what there is of the community are only interested in tracking their "score" as opposed to IL/Full-game RTA runs.

Again, speedrun.com does not accept nor track "scores" on the site and that includes "golf scores" which is exactly why I suggested RnG to track that data somewhere else because the options and features on speedrun.com does not cater to this arbitrary goal. I'm aware there are games across the site that try to add it in some form to bend the rules on the site, but that's another discussion.

I'm not saying not to add these modes to the game, but keep in mind that if the above is met the rules will also need to be redefined as well to cater to the new additions. Which I would be expecting players to finish in I believe the top three on the ranking board (i.e not losing the tournament)

Myself and a couple others did a lot of stuff, its slowly growing in size without a doubt. A lot of the work we did isn't shown in the photos, rather its all in the nether as we busted our butts to create quick travel across a couple of biomes (thought we'd never get that done). So here is everything so far, that little railroad behind those houses will eventually go though because it just seems really out of place.
