Really slow still, 10-15 seconds to load any page while logged in. But after log out - around a second.

Lor, the issue here is that these ads exist in the first place, and a band-aid of an adblocker software is pretty much required to use the site. Not really sure why the login page argument exist, because it is and was just a pop-up window on the page but yeah, i can see how that can be bad

Welp, went through both threads and talked with Delek via discord - all i can really say that he is extremely upset but does have some valid points in my opinion. Like the dedicated suggestions forum - come on, everyone likes a good suggestion and discussion about it, doing this via dedicated button in the support hub is a bit soulless in my opinion. And while Delek did respond extremely harshly - the "use adblock" solution isn't cutting for him as far as i understand, he never used adblocks of any kind and he aint gonna use them in forever ever ever and stuff. All these ads (as far as i understand) were put in the layout without any warnings from ELO, no news, no posts, no nothing. Some headsup would've been nice, at least they could've looked at the people's responce to that.

...scratch that above, just seen the news post. Alright then, the ads are big and they are annoying without any adblocking software (using ublock origin and privacy badger, so only the "empty space on the right" problem here), also the videos. In my opinion it's fine-ish, but the pop-up with them in the right bottom corner of the page is just not good.

...also i really should submit some feedback through that form. Not sure how that magic works, but if the people here are correct - it doesn't even spew out anything like "we got your feedback, aight, thx, we'll look into it" automatic message, could be useful, just saying.

Well, i'm actually surprised that someone is interested in running this game, to be honest. Yeah, the rules were just temporary, because of only one speedrun, i'll change them now.

For me personally ammo management for the last boss is not a big problem, because of vessel usage that gives you invincibility, 2x health, unlimited ammo and i think 2x damage for 30-90 seconds, didn't time these things properly. So if there is any flamethrower ammo left at the end - use vessels and you are good to go. :V

Oh, yeah, added them just now. Hope i did everything right in case of the rules, but if you have anything to correct what i wrote - just tell me. :D

Yeah, any kind of guide would be very great and useful, because i still can't really understand some (basic) mechanics in this game and get an actual sub hour. :V

Maybe it's kinda late for that, but don't overclock your CPU and speedrun this game (like someone actually considered that, haha). AMD FX-8320E overclocked to 4.0 GHz - computer just restarts after random amount of time in game. Probably something with incompatibility with new CPUs/GPUs, but not really sure about this one, the game could've reboot my PC when in "non-overclocked" mode.

Already tried to run Aspirations, seems kinda fun, but leaderboard mods are kill D:

Ah, yeah, i was wrong, you just skip the enemies. Welp, there goes NG+ category.

I'm actually not sure about it myself, because it may not change a lot of things, but the one gun that you pick up with 10-15 pages (the big revolver thingy, forgot the name and the "price") is making it easier, as i could see. Or maybe i'm wrong and i have to remove the NG+.

Quick update - the game has some issues with AMD videocards. Basically texture problems, but really nothing THAT serious. It still behaves exactly the same, except every second mission the textures are partially messed up. Probably render problems, quick change of settings in DXWnd didn't helped, so i'll look into that issue.

Finally, changes in the air.

At last i can say that MAJOR lags can be "cured" by DxWnd. Unfortunately, it slows down the game a lot. I predict some timeloss with current configuration, about two or three minutes. Looking back at my run - it seems like a lot of time, especially with somewhat perfected first and second levels.

Still looking for a right config. Actually i really doubt that someone is interested in this game, but eh, progress is progress, i guess.

So, i tried several compatibility modes, even through Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit and still no results. Still have no technical proof that NPCs are causing so much lag.

No actual idea, i had it on 2 CDs for, like, 5 years.

Here is the problem - there is no patches for this game on the internet, no matter how hard i looked into Google and other search engines. If anyone has a "perfect" setup for this game - please post it in this thread.

Major lags occurring when on 10th level, that's where the game gives you a bunch of enemies and friendly "teammembers". Maybe that's CPU-dependant, i don't actually know. But if this problem could be solved - we can save at least a minute or two on these runs.
