So I am tempted to run the PC version of Earthworm Jim 3d, felt the controls default setup were odd, and was curious what your guy's were if they were different from them. I'll probably tinker with it till I feel comfortable, I am just too use to wasd movement.
Hey, thought I'd start a discussion on separating the 2 for separate categories for a more organized board. Plus allowing those who can't quite get the timing right with the glitch a decent spot on the leaderboard. What do you guys think?
Actually I came here so I can ask about it, I'd like to do it. So if the mods could add that would be nice, or if you want separate it in it's own game, like with Doom's Console speedrunning
Hope the set up goes well I'd love to give it a go
So...a bit late with doing one of these, I've actually had an account for 3 months, but hey I am zeo, I have been going by zeo since 2007 kinda glad it was available here. I got into speedrunning thanks to GDQ, snowmanGaming's video, and curiosity, I rarely do emulator runs because the convenience of just setting up my console. I lately have been practicing, Yu-Gi-Oh! Dawn of Destiny, Doom, and today I started practicing Sonic 1
I was thinking while in casual that speedrunning offline practice would be kind of ideal. Imagine it for example offline practice of Hoodoo on offline practice, with categories being 12 bots or 24 and difficulty of the bosses, it gives a fair playing field to anyone, since regular online casual could be a nightmare to actually run. Along with poor ping not being a problem for players.
Thought It'd be a fun addition.
I can't seem to find the specs what so ever for this thing, but according to the review from SegaBits it tends to speed up emulation for some games, so my conclusions is it's not up to par for speedrunning which sucks. I'll just stick to Fusion.
I mean I have gone by zeo259 for the past 11 years of my time on the internet so I decided to shorten it to zeo when signing up for the site.
Okay so, I own a AtGames Portable Genesis System, and I was wondering if it's accurate enough to count as usable for a speedrun. Note I am fine with using the Exodus, or Fusion Emulator if needed, just curious if I can use it since I can record it.
