Hey everyone! Ajay here, back again after 45 years. Just passing by to say i created, or thought about a new challenge/speedrun category that could be very interesting! It's Hater%, basically i thought about doing a run so "perfect" no one could ever complain about it. It could be done in both the base game and Jetstream Sam's DLC (Blade Wolf too, just haven't wrapped my head around it?).

As for the main campaign, i thought it could be something like New Game Stormbringer (Revengeance) But with added stuff, such as getting ALL COLLECTIBLES. These being, left arms, MIB, Hostages, and pretty much everything listed in Category Extensions but combined in one, definitive run. To me, putting other difficulties and/or New Game+ would be pointless due to the mere nature of the run, but i'm more than open to consider it!

As for Sam's campaign, for obvious reasons, it'd be a lot easier and shorter, since there's barely any collectibles and upgrades: Life and Fuel Cells, plus the 5 Data chips. I'll even put a video as an example i've made of the category (Ignore the shitty gameplay).

It's recommended to have everything done in a Freah File since, even when putting New Game in either campaigns, Left Arms and such will have already been saved and registered.

I hope everyone likes it as much as me and do give it a try because i think it would be a huge improvement for the game in general!

Hey there everyone! First time actually interacting in here. I've been seeing some amazing runs, even on Valley of the Yetis and i wondered why Escape From Durguesh it's not a category. While thinking about it, i noticed that, by one hand, if the idea is going straightforward to the objective, it's pretty scripted. However, i thought about adding NG and NG+ thingy.

NG Rules:

1. Must show the Reset and Replay option
2. Must complete the main objective as fast as possible
3. If some advance is done and the user dies, its allowed to keep going (If the first rule was followed)

NG+ Rules:

1. Must show the Begin option from the menu
2. Any advance is allowed
3. Must complete the primal objective asap

And then, there could be added a 100% for both NG and NG+, which would require in both cases to complete each outpost and Pagan's missions.

I suck at placing rules since i never created categories myself, but i hope at least my point is clear. Thank you and cheers!

Hey there everyone! Ajay here popping in after ten years. Today i bring you a curious detail i found while playing as Sam. Heading over to the Ray battle, in the part where we have to jump over some containers to make it to the top, i accidentally found out Sam's jump height increases in specific areas while running.

These parts are the ones showed on the video: Grey small platform coming from the front, and small yellow line going sideways.

So anyways, maybe i was just lucky or something, but i wanted y'all to know this cool detail! Maybe the WR can be lowered by small seconds?

Hey everyone, Ajay here, im here to propose a new category, most likely for Category Extensions, but it can be added in Full Game as well. So i basically noticed the user Dreagledr on YouTube uploaded a video some time ago about an All Achievements run on MGRR, he has been the only one to do it, and as a way of repay his laborous work and grind, i was thinking it could be included as a new category? Even if he is the first and only run ever on that category i do think it deserves recognition!

Hi everyone, AJ here again, i was checking on the already existing categories and noticed which could be an interesting one: All Hostages, Humanoid Gekkos and MIB (Men In Boxes). The rules for the runs could be the following (it may of course be changed and modified if needed):

All Hostages:

1. You must save the 4 hostages displayed throughput the whole campaign.
2. (Having a hard time in general to decide when timing starts)
3. NG and NG+ are allowed

Humanoid Gekkos:

1. Defeat the 5 Humanoid Gekkos hidden throughout the whole game.
2. (Mentioned this earlier)
3. NG and NG+ allowed

MIB (Men In Boxes):

1. Find and eliminate the five MIB displayed throughout the campaign.
2. (Up to you to decide when timing starts)
3. NG and NG+ are allowed.

I'm sorry if this is overwhelming for the mods, im passionated for this game and the speedrunning community in general so any contribuition i could do excites me! If you need help or if there´s anything at all you want me to do please do not hesitage on contacting me! See ya!!

All Left Arms:

1. None Arms must be aquired before initiating runs on this category (30 in total).
2. Timer starts when the first arm is aquired, finishes when the last one is achieved (It may vary whether to do full campaign or just the arms themselves).
3. It can be played in both NG and NG+, however, if NG+ is played, the first rule aplies.

All posters:

1. You must cut each of the 4 provokative posters displayed throughout the campaign.
2. Time starts when facing the first posters and finished once Courtney comments on us on our last (Again, can be changed to full game).
3. Both NG and NG+ are fine.

All ID's:

1. You must get each of the 20 IDs displayed throughout the whole campaign.
2. Time starts when grabbing the first and finishes once the last is grabbed (Or full game).
3. NG and NG+ are fine, note that in NG+ you must not have any IDs aquired beforehand.

Stormbringer:

1. You must complete a full playthrough according the Stormbringer's achievement specifications (Revengeance, all fights Rank S).
2. Whether you do it even after having the achievement already aquired or not is fine.
3. NG and NG+ are okay.

Why Is it written that runs are not being taken in any of the three categories?

I was wondering if Jetstream Sam DLC NG+ could be added as a category? That and perhaps allowing higher difficulties such as Revengeance or just higher than hard. I understand it may be dumb but its a general request as in Campaign it already exists the distiction between NG and NG+

I was re-playing R-07 and found this new skip on the Hangar zone, i know its not any faster than the original skip, but i had the doubt that if it still counted as an allowed skip when speedrunning Any%?
