I recommend speedrunning something other than a visual novel. Maybe an autoscroller? Star Fox 64, perhaps? Nope? Okay then.

Everyone can improve menuing.

Don't unequip the band-aid til after core, band-aid guarantees escapes from most normal battles.

Don't help up Monster Kid on the bridge, its not required for TPE.

But wouldn't it be a better idea to unequip just before or in Mettaton if you aren't confident that you can go through w/o getting hit much? @DiscoSatan, I didn't use it for this run. This is literally my second speedrun of the game. I think it'll help a lot though, gonna change it soon. @RylatRanbewb Yeah, I think my menuing needs a big improvement. What side scroller games do you suggest? I don't have access to very many, and I'm generally not very good at them. I'm generally new to speedrunning, I chose this game because it's relatively short, and glitchless runs are straight-forward. (I also only plan to do glitchless because pixel perfect memorization is not my cup of tea)

If you are doing neutral glitchless and only neutral do genocide until hotland. This saves somewhere in the neighborhood of 15 minutes

You don't need to pick up the umbrella.

Did u read the WHOLE guide? Because with your run it looks like you read the main parts and left behined some small stuff that can save time

I know that you have to do genocide for neutral. @starsmiley thank I forgot to clarify this is a run with no practice beforehand other than a walkthru the game. Just saying

For Glitchless TPE, you would be using Fashion strats for Mettaton anyway, so this point is moot. Every new armor you equip during the fight increases ratings by 1500.

Start paying attention to small details then, as this run is full of them and your timewaste will rack up very quickly if you're doing things that are unnecessary or otherwise not using the correct route.

The guide by Rhombu is very comprehensive and highlights exactly what is REQUIRED to complete the route. If it's not in the route notes, don't do it.

Doesn't matter, while trying to delete genocide route I messed up and deleted 3 mystery files, this wouldn't of happened if I hadn't bought it on steam, btw I fixed the huge echo and although I won't post it here I'm planning to do a no hit sans, also the game wouldn't record in full screen so that was another problem
