I've been playing Stardew Valley for many years now and I absolutley love it. Latley I've been looking for realy efficient playthroughs on YouTube. But it seems what I'm interested in is far from what constitutes a "speed run". F.ex, I want to see how fast people can complete all bundles in the community center. But I don't care how long real time it takes. I care how many in game days it takes. Is there any such "category" of speed runs or am I out of luck?
Don't get me wrong, completing every bundle in under 3 real life hours is very impressive, it's just not what interests me.
Specifically for in game time/days, there is no category for it. Some runners/twitch streamers (like Haboo or Tooshi) might have done something like that, but I'm not sure.
A run like that would mostly likely depend on the traveling cart to drop the in-game day count to avoid going into year 2. You would also possibly end up with the situation of people resetting days if they are trying to get a "perfect" day for the run (which currently happens for challenge runs by some people).
Alright folks, it's been a week since 1.6 dropped and it's already been a wild start! So many new mechanics, QoL fixes, and general nonsense. We're going to start lifting the embargo here on 1.6 runs, sometime tonight the options should populate on SRC and you'll be able to select the new version. W
