Yep, this is possible on all levels of the game. By standing or crawling on a certain point or web swinging in the air, you set a position for recovery every time. However, if you only travel with web jump, that position of recovery will not change, ignoring the possibility of going out of bounds. So it can be used as a potential skip in future strats.

i've already found skips with it but many of them i dont think would save any time because their are other skips in that location that are faster. Also the skip i showed in the video is currently obsolete because there is another skip where you simply jump out of the suicide robot room have the last place you touched the ground be in there do a double jump and spam the jump button to preform a bhop and the game still thinks the last place you touched the ground is in the room. then you hit the fall plane and you've skip the section and its faster than the current skip and way easier.
