On the run submission page, it says “emulators are banned.”
There is an emulator, but it does not work well or really at all. At the moment, switch games are too advanced to emulate well because the switch itself is a complicated console. For example, the NES was fairly simple, so the emulators for it are extremely accurate. But as time goes on, things will get harder to emulate. You've probably never seen an accurate PS3 emulator right? But you've probably seen an accurate Atari2600 emulator. Long story short, don't try the emulator. It's not worth it, plus I don't think the community will ever vote to allow emulators.
the emulator is banned yes, mainly bc the emulator isn't as accurate and swtich emulation can lead into legal issues from nintendo themselves which is what you wanna avoid.
There's a pretty big difference between modding/emulating a game from 19 years ago and doing the same for a game that came out 3 years ago. Those two things aren't comparable at all lol
