I got a few questions for the 100% category. Will the standees count towards 100%? They are only used in online, and aren't really required if you want to 100% the game casually (especially since you need switch online to even use them). Also the 10 coins. They count towards the purple coin currency, but there are only 3 in each level, and the game counts them. They are kind of like star coins, but star coins don't count towards the coin counter, they have an exclusive counter, so they count to 100% in the other games, but the 10 coins are a different case.
Presumably the requirements for 100% will be whatever the game looks for to mark the save file as 100% completed (I think it's indicated by a little blue tick on it). Pretty sure people have worked out that this includes the 10-coins (would make sense because they're required for the level 100% indicator) and I think I heard somewhere that you also need the standees too.
Yes, there will be a checkmark on your save file when you have everything as well as the medals which track your completion for each collectable. Here's all the medals:
Medal 1 - Beat the Game
Medal 2 - All Wonder Seeds
Medal 3 - All 10 Coins
Medal 4 - All tops of flagpoles
Medal 5 - All standees
Medal 6 - All other collectables and complete the final-final challenge
I think no coins are needed for medals except for Big 10 Purple Coins? Tell me if I'm wrong
You need coins to buy all standees which counts for a medal, if you buy all of them in special world you’d need around 4500 coins
that's far from the optimal way to get standees though, you're better off buying about 2/3 of them as random ones before switching to the special world shop
Some games have 100% and 110%. So if there are 2 sides a 110% category could be an option as well.
But my opinion is that 100% should include all colletables, (all medals).
No medal 5 might make for a more fun category than true 100%, but certainly 100% would include the standees unfortunately
I feel like the best name for 100%-except-for-standees would be "5 Medals" since that's what it's marked as.
Can you reach the final special world level without the standees medal? Don't you need all five medals before the last level will be accessible?
