It took 48 hours and 56 minutes from never running Super Mario Bros. 1 to getting sub 5. Very fun challenge! Maybe one day I'll return to push it lower, but this was more a curiosity project than anything. Without the flagpole glitches / Bullet Bill glitch, you really need to play almost perfectly. I think every speedrunner should try running this to see what goes into it.

I'm glad it's off my speedrun bucket list!
