does anyone know if you can clip in the bottom row of blocks in the 4-2 warp zone like here
I'm not entirely sure, but it seems to me o be one of two things. One, the inputs may not be humanly possible, or have left and right at the same time. Two, It could be humanly possible, but not save enough time to save the framerule. It would be great to have an input display, but it seems there is not.
No. To my knowledge, you would need something to give you more time in the air once you're in gap, such as a bounce off a koopa. Additionally, one block gap floor clips are incredibly precise, even for a tas, so they certainly couldn't be done RTA even if a koopa were there.
But could this be used to save time in the TAS, even if it's not humanly achievable?
@linny356 yeah, it's a level hack, but the physics are still the same.
The coin is the reason that clip is possible. Without it, you wouldn't be able to clip into the floor like that.
@periwinkle I don't really understand how that would change anything, please explain that.
What he means is that it helps the runnner indícate when to jump to preform the clip
A coin next to a block is very glitchy and allows you to clip in blocks more than you usually would, and you could fully clip into a block if there is a coin just to the left of the block you are trying to clip in. This can be represented by AndrewG's 4-2 underground clip
@Niftski Oh thanks, I didn't know that. That's really weird, but I guess that's the same with a lot of things in SMB1.
Effective immediately, any submissions using the SNES9x emulator will not be verified. The SMB1 mod team has concerns about its integrity due to its ability to overclock and remove lag frames, which may not be easily detectable. Additionally, we request that all BizHawk submissions avoid using the S
