As of now, special machines that you get from extra trials are the go to-choice. They are either faster or better handling than all the normal cars. There are also differences which is better for which course. It can also be kind of a personal prefference thing too. Only one that can be 100% sure on as being the best for course is P.R.C/Utopia (Terrazi-special machine). Current question has been that should we add reverse courses to IL-boards. After there's something decided on reverse courses, adding normal cars could be considered too, but not at the same time (adding both at the same would be messy).
There isn't any "best car" or "correct car", except for the PRC Utopia for Shooting hoops. I recommend starting out with MMM Ecureuil, setting some decent times and then trying to beat those times with other cars to see which might work the best for you.
