As of yesterday the top 3 PS2 players of all categories must show their PS driver version before or after a run. you can show this via the system configuration screen when the disc tray is open or when a game isn't inserted.
Driver Version 1.11 is banned for use with Japanese versions of the game.
This driver was never released in japan and region modding one of these consoles with the 1.11 driver will save massive amounts of time for seemingly no reason.
So it's cool if we show it after a run? Would it be acceptable if after it shows the game completion time, I reset my PS2 with the recording still going and open the disc tray to show the driver?
The only reason I ask is because I like to set my sprint to square and action button to X. If I have to show the driver before the run, this will require me to physically reset the PS2 (and set the controls) every time that I reset, which as you can imagine, makes missing the Barry glitch that much more painful when I realize that it just wasted 3 minutes of my life instead of just 1.
