Might want to speedrun this myself and I was wondering, is there a system that is best to speedrun on? Whether it's because of different glitches or other time saves.

Generally, the newer the version, the faster the load times are. Steam version has the quickest load times by far and is the same as the previous versions, but you run the risk for game crashes. 360 is the next quicker system, then PS3. So if you want consistency, run it on 360/PS3, but if you want the best loading times, run Steam.

run on steam, you will love crash at 5-4

Is there any fix for the 5-4 crash? I never had the crash on my old computer, but since building a new one the game crashes about 50% of the time on the 5-4 door.

I have never crashed on the door there. I think i've only crashed thrice; one was caused by AVG, and the other two were caused by an overload brought on by myself. So i guess there might be a way to prevent them, but if you're lucky, you won't get them often.

I guess it must only happen with certain unlucky hardware/configuration combinations, on my old PC (Q9550, GTX 760, 4GB DDR2) I did 15+ runs and never once crashed. On the new build (i7-4790k, Same GTX 760, 16GB DDR3), same os/settings/saves it's crashed 6 times in 11 runs on the 5-4 door so I gave up running the game.

Best system is not fastest system. Best system is one which you just like most, it might be because of controller or something else, but fastest system doesn't make it as a best. Steam version might be fastest, but if you enjoy using Wii controls, play that one then. There are WR's for each system (and regions sometimes) so make sure to try all possible choices you can.

Well that defeats the purpose of speedrunning since you are trying to get the fastest time possible. The only WR people care about is the one with the lowest time, not the lowest time for your specific console.

please, before want to get WR and do competition Kappa , just like want you are doing, and enjoy your system, i prefer to like what i'm doing than than to want getting best time

That is why there are categories for different consoles (and regions). Slower time on slower console still might be better run than faster time with faster console, just due loading times etc, so I don't see problem playing with slower versions.
