hey I'm really really new to speedrunning, but I like pokemon a lot and am into fun glitches like item overflow. I've yet to try my own speed run. Sorry if this has been asked but where can I start as someone so new? I don't have an emulator, just been playing Blue on my Gameboy pocket and Gameboy color (also play fire red, X, omega ruby, and moon, but would prefer to speedrun the original game)

I want to eventually record my runs and share them if they're any good, so even just info on the logistics of recording a game that runs on such an old system or where to find a safe emulator would be helpful too.

I'm really new and only know a few glitches right now, but this has interested me for years, I'm just lost at where to start!
