Are Emulators allowed?, arent they faster than the normal console. If yes, could someone explain why and which emulator to use. Thanks.. newbie here

You can use an emulator but if you submit a run it will be hidden by default.

If you plan on using emulator, the mandatory emulator is VBA (Visual Boy Advance). Just google it and it'll be there

The rules specifically state which emulator to use and what special things may be required for all pokemon games.
