Downgrading the PC version of Persona 4 Golden

First off, if you haven't yet updated the game through Steam, do it now. Steam **won't** let you launch the game until you update at least once.

Download and install .NET 7 from https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download then download DepotDownloader from https://github.com/SteamRE/DepotDownloader/releases/ and extract it somewhere where you'll fit the entire game files.

Open a terminal window in the extracted folder where DepotDownloader.dll is (Right-Click > Open in Terminal on Windows 11, Shift + Right-Click > Open PowerShell window here on Windows 10) and run this command: **dotnet DepotDownloader.dll -app 1113000 -depot 1113001 -manifest 7421594391039072174 -username <username> -password <password>** replacing username and password with your Steam credentials.

After the download concludes, head to your P4G folder. You can get there by right-clicking the game in your Steam library, then going to Manage > Browse Local Files. Remove **everything** in that folder, then replace it with the downloaded files which are in the DepotDownloader folder under depots\1113001\10266171\.

When that's done, start the game! If you've done everything correctly, there shouldn't be an option to change the FPS cap between 30/60/120, and no option to select your output audio device. If that's the case, congrats, your P4G copy is successfully downgraded.
