Hi, Im pretty new to speedrunning but its something I've always kind of thought about doing. Outlast is a game I love playing. If anyone could help with the basics to speedrunning this game such as skips ect that would be great.

What category do you plan on running and which platform. There's loads of skips and strats, but some basic stuff apply to everything, like jumping to open doors, which saves frames for every door opened.
Here's a tutorial for any% route . That's done on ps4, but everything works on pc the same way.
Doorclip (running through doors) is the only thing that's patched on xbox and ps4, although on ps4 you can run a unpatched version.
After discussing this a lot, the Mod Team decided that Buttbounces are now officially allowed in the Glitchless category!
