I just did a walkathon speedrun and think it would be a fun category for people to try out. I banned myself from propeller and star to make it a true walkathon. I did have to use the one button to get a mini shroom world five so I could get the 8-2 warp but other than that it was a pretty straightforward run.

You should try doing one without propellor. It makes it a little more challenging on certain levels. To make it feasible I let myself use the one button on the w5 mushroom house to get a mini shroom to use on 8-2

I mean obviously for this to be an official category, you wouldn't be allowed to make exceptions like that, and also it would be way too arbitrary to not allow these powerups. They also make the category way more interesting when they are allowed. Since walkathon already exists on NSMB and NSMB2 category extension boards, I think it would be a good category to add to this game as well.

I am for walkathon becoming a thing as well! Not sure what other mods think. It'd definitely have to go in category extensions, though

I'm all for having walkathon be an actual category! Although I feel it'd be difficult for the mods to verify runs without a hand cam or something

It would be harder but not impossible without a handcam

I really don't think we need super strict rule enforcement, but I think the best option would be that handcam is encouraged.
