EarthBound Beginnings NES No RNG Manip Guide

Using this route is very much recommended over the old routes because it's way faster, cuts out a significant portion of run-ending RNG, and is a lot more straightforward. How to get the Famicom (JP) version on Switch

You don't need to buy anything if you already have Nintendo Switch Online! (If you don't have Nintendo Switch Online, you'll need to buy 1 subscription.)

1) Make a Nintendo account and select Japan as your country.

2) Link that account to a profile on your Switch.

3) Open the eshop with your Japanese account.

4) On the left side somewhere it will say "Nintendo Switch Online". Go there and download the Famicom NSO app.![](/static/blob/7z36my9z.png)

5) Open the Famicom app with a profile that has Nintendo Switch Online. It doesn't have to be the Japanese account.

(Your Switch will only check if you have an NSO subscription, not if you have an NSO subscription for that region.)

Mary Skip GBA Setup

A while ago (i believe over a year now) i discovered a big skip on GBA with the help of @theterrifictracy 's findings about oob, but i guess i never made a post about how to do it. This guide is gonna serve that purpose.

1. youll need two Bread items, and make it up to Thanksgiving.

2. make your way to the spot shown in Tracy's video ( https://youtu.be/bFOYWaVFZt8 ) and USE the bread to make breadcrumbs.

3. USE the breadcrumbs while in the same spot, and you should end up in a gray field.

4. run DOWN and RIGHT for 18-19 seconds, then run to the right until your party stops moving. 

5. use your second bread, and then use the breadcrumbs in the same place. 

6. you should end up in the cutscene where magicant is falling apart. walk up to Mary and interact with her. this should trigger the cutscene where magicant falls apart, and brings you to the mount itoi summit. 

Im not sure what practical implications this has yet, since as far as i know gba doesnt have any way to manipulate starmen like famicom does, but who knows. this community is real smart n creative, im sure someone will get an idea.
