Does the character really matter, and is there a faster kart configuration.

i believe the charactor doesnt matter for kart configuration i don't know i would probably suggest watching other people's runs to see what they use and find out what setup is most used :D

For 150cc that would be the most heavy characters: Bowser (Skell Bowser), Wario, Morton, and MII For 200cc you'd look for a medium character such as; Tanooki Mario, Yoshi, Daisy etc. Kart setups are generally the same. Streetle/BF + Slick + Glider for 150cc For 200cc, Pipe Frame is generally used in combination with Slick and Glider.
