# Find a dungeon

P counter in F3 spikes once you are in 16 block radius of spawner

Spawner only spawns when you are close, mobs naturally only spawn far away from you (Useful by looking at nametags when F3 is active)

Dungeons generate next to air (mostly caves)

For fast runs or multi-instance might be worth resetting for spike on spawn

# After dungeon located

Open inventory first
Get 4 logs
Crafting bench, wood pickaxe+sword
3 cobble, stone pickax
6 cobble, stone axe+shovel+sword
Frontload about 6 logs of wood
Any sapling that drop can be helpful later, but not required

# Get Resources

Dungeon loot:

- required (else reset): saddle
- extra: buckets (first 3 buckets count as 3 iron), iron, string, wheat, food

Other Required items:

- 2 String
- 1 Bone for every 3 Wheat you have to grow
- 8/16 Cobble (depending on how much Iron you have to smelt)
- 1 coal for every 8 iron you have to smelt (not required if wood accessible)
- 20 iron
- kill at least 1 monster (Monster Hunter)
- 3 wool for bed (optional)

# Wait for egg (5-10 minutes after chicken spawned)

Find chicken, craft furnaces, smelt iron

trap as many chickens in a close area as possible
chickens may despawn if you get >32 blocks away from them

Overlap this:

- craft (bed), wood hoe, fishing rod, bone meal, boats (more are safer)
- farm seeds, farm wheat, craft bread
- craft 3 buckets, minecart(s) and rails
- mine wood for extra boats, use saplings if you have spare bone meal

If possible:

- farm fish and cook it after iron is done
- get milk from cow
- kill cow for leather

- find 2 sugar cane and craft 2 sugar (can be done easily without leaving boat during On A Rail)

# Endgame

Complete tasks

On a rail (big looking ocean):

- Boat 1k blocks ([explanation](https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/845813764099932200/1007579954776645662/onarail.png)), you can get sugar cane during this ride but you can't leave the boat. Overlap crafting or inventory management while driving for an extra little timesave
- If the ocean stops, use [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ruu2imc-zk) when applicable, otherwise try again or reset
- Avoid Boat break when touching blocks: Be slow enough for no water particles next to the boat, or if you are faster make sure you hit the blocks in a right angle (+-10°)
- Place rails and minecart, then enter it without leaving boat
- Mining/Placing blocks in boat: Make sure block is highlighted (easier if facing backwards)

# Important tips

Use Beta 1.5_01 because seeds dont require tall grass, they can be obtained from using a hoe on grass blocks

You can only get 'Bake Bread' from crafting bread, so dont worry about eating bread from dungeon loot

Sometimes you get 9+ iron from dungeon, remember that you can get milk early

'When Pigs Fly' has to be done after getting the leather achievement

Right clicking in a boat can cause dismount, best keep away from all mouse buttons during On A Rail

Sleeping in complete darkness (cave or after 20 seconds past first possible sleep) causes 'nightmares', when a zombie or skeleton spawns on you as you try to sleep. This can be used to your advantage, if you want to sleep it's best to dig below ground to not allow monsters to spawn

Do not try to fight a skeleton in water

Rare strat: You can use torches to force a large number of passive mobs to spawn in a small area at nighttime

This route is outdated, look at the current wr to see the new route (~30s faster, no flint rng); use b1.6.4

(Disclaimer: this route may change with time, but i probably wont update it. this is a good beginner route.)
-Go to the tree in front of you and mine 3 logs
-Go to the grass and dandelions behind the tree and hope for seeds (if you don't get them you can either just craft something else or reset)
-Head to dungeon behind you, make wood pick and shovel 
-Get 3 stone from wall
-Make stone pick, get 11 stone
-Make stone axe, break chest and get the shit
-Get coal and iron, as well as gravel and flint
-Get six of each log
-Craft five of each into planks
-Make a crafting table and twenty sticks
-Craft, in order: wood axe and hoe, stone shovel and hoe, wood and stone sword, torches, iron sword, sign, trapdoor, bowls, and yellow dye. That should leave you with a full inventory, and hopefully a decent time.

Full Inventory RSG (all versions)

# All Versions

- run starts by mining 3 logs, making crafting table+8 sticks, wood pickaxe (+wood shovel if stone is underground), stone pickaxe, stone axe (+stone shovel if wood shovel hasnt been made)
- when turning logs into planks, keep 1 log for an extra item
- getting a sapling is are always assumed (except alpha), skipping a sapling will result in +1 rng item required
- dont forget dirt
- always collect rng items where you can along the way
- take items out of furnace before mining it, otherwise they wont drop (pre beta 1.6)
- if you kill pigs pre beta 1.8, make sure you only pick up 1 pork as they dont stack (picking up more fills inventory faster but will make invalid)
- crafting pre-beta: its faster to just drop items and stand in a way that you can pick them up, instead of dragging everything to your inventory
- if you need to get seeds pre-beta, drag a hoe to hotbar while crafting
- if you want to mine your crafting table after collecting stone and your hotbar is full, drop an useless item after about 2/3 of mining the table and pick it up just after picking up crafting table into your hotbar
- some of this might be outdated, watch Tetrian22's runs for additional items to lower rng required

# Indev (only available in betacraft)

Use in20100223 (my choice) or
indev20100219 (differences: logs break into 3-5 planks when broken, cobble cant be smelted into stone, sheep drop 3 colors wool --> +2 rng items required, +2 rng items possible)

Common rng items (7/8 required): Sand, Gravel, Flint, Wool, Pork, Red Flower, Yellow Flower, seeds (Use hoe on grass block)
Rare rng items (-1 common rng item required): Red/Brown Mushroom, Hostile mob drops

Get torch from starter house
Get 29 cobble, 5 iron ore, 2 coal
craft cobble slab + stone axe/shovel + 2 furnaces (use 1 to smelt 1 cobble and 4 iron ore, overlap smelting with something else)
mine furnace while its still lit
get 9 logs
craft 16 sticks, stone/wood tools, iron hoe/shovel, chest, bowl, crafting table

# Infdev

Use inf20100629-20100630 (only available in betacraft), stairs can only be crafted in these versions of infdev

Common rng items (total 7): Pork, Wool, gravel, flint, red flower, yellow flower, seeds (Use hoe on grass block)
Rare rng items (-1 common rng item required): Red/Brown Mushroom, hostile mob drops
2 Coal: (6/7) rng items, 14 logs, 20 sticks(coal, torch)
3 Iron: (5/7) rng items, 15 logs, 24 sticks (ore, ingot, shovel)
iron+coal: 3 rng items, 15 logs, 24 sticks

Mine Sand (you always spawn on sand in this version)
Get 27 cobble
craft cobble slab + stone axe/shovel + furnace (smelt cobblestone/(+iron) with plank(s), overlap smelting with something else)

# Alpha

Use a1.0.17-1.1.2_01 (no biomes (trees everywhere), 1/4 maps are on winter mode (snowballs)) or
a1.2.0-1.2.6 (my choice, forest biomes with better tree proximity, sometimes spawn without nearby trees, desert for cactus) or
a1.2.3 (leave decay for easy saplings, game crashes a lot)

Saplings are rng items in this range, 4 rng items required

Mine Sand (you always spawn on sand in this version)
Get 31 cobble
smelt 4 cobble
get 18 logs
craft furnace, planks, smelt 4 cobble with 4 planks
craft 28 sticks, ladder, fence, wood/stone tools, sign, lever, stone slab/stair, cleanstone plate, boat/bowl, door/crafting table, wood slab/stair, chest

# Early Beta

Use b1.6-1.6.4 (shiftclicking added, changed mechanics in b1.6.5 to only craft once per shiftclick)

2 rng items required, 3 with chest skip, 4 with chest+stone slab skip (css)
It is assumed that both types of logs are collected and both saplings obtained

Dig down next to sand (if you dont, get +2 rng items)
Get 13 cobble (10 with css skip), get sand and sandstone if you dog down next to sand
Get 20 total logs (18 with chest or css skip)
craft 28 sticks, ladder, fence, wood/stone tools, sign, lever, (stone slab), boat/bowl/trapdoor, door/crafting table/pressure plate, wood slab/stair, (chest)

# Beta 1.8(.1):

3 rng items required, 4 with chest skip, 5 with chest+stone slab skip (css)
It is assumed that both types of logs are collected and both saplings obtained

Get 13 cobble (10 with css skip)
Get 21 total logs (19 with chest or css skip)
craft 32 sticks, ladder, fence, fence gate, wood/stone tools, sign, lever, (stone slab), boat/bowl/trapdoor, door/crafting table/pressure plate, wood slab/stair, (chest)
