Is the 2nd generator skip only possible on pc? Because there is a death plan in the way for me.

It can be done on console as well, and is a little bit easier if you turn vsync on. As the guide describes, you gotta do both an edge jump and a well timed jump roll so it may not be the best way to go for beginners but there are alternatives in that room that aren't too much slower.
