I know there is a heavily modified one in category extension, but it is so heavy tweaked that it no longer resembles the same gamemode. Stayin Alive is the one I am refering to. It's simply too restrictive.

This is a speedrun site, if you want survival stuff you're in the wrong place. Stayin alive is one thing, it is the way it is for many reasons as this is a speedrun site. Having a normal survival catergory would be pointless on a site based on speedrunning.

If you want a leaderboard for Survival, you're more than happy to join the Gold Miners discord, I'd link it here but I don't wanna get shouted at by anyone :)

If you wanna have a leaderboards for survival, if you go to https://discord.gg/XmHZX9v4 the gold miners discord you'll be able to find all the resources there, including the page for survival records and people to play with :)

This was discussed a long time ago, and one bigger reason it's not on here is because a main site for survival records already exists. Since it doesn't really fit the theme of speedrunning, it made the most sense to keep them separated since there was already another place for it. Stayin' Alive was its own thing so that has leaderboards. It was meant to be a more punishing survival that would avoid having to play for multiple hours for a record.
