Glitches

The main glitch in this game is called prompt storage. It allows you to store a prompt to use at any time you wish. This happens when you press the direction of the prompt just as you leave it. It can be very awkward to learn and requires good timing as you have about 2-3 frames depending on the prompt. Here is a video example:

Stairs are also incredibly broken. This was found by me (TheThrillness). I show three ways to glitch stairs in this video:

  1. Simply go back and forward on the steps. Works on nearly every stairs with varying effects. It's best done with Madison but it works with both Ethan and Scott (Norman doesn't climb stairs).

  2. The infinite stairs. Hopefully the controller visualizer helps explain this. From what I can gather, the game doesn't check your position properly when you quickly turn around after repressing R2. Instead of turning you around, it allows you to continue climbing stairs. I've done testing with the main game and it does also work with Ethan and Shelby but the uses are limited. If you don't have something solid to walk into, you seem to fall under some circumstances. You can also reverse the upwards stair climb and do it at the bottom. This leads you to climbing into the ground and falling out of bounds.

  3. Fake stair climb. Unfortunately the fake stair animation only really pops up in Taxidermist, so very few uses in the main game.

You can also end certain cut scenes early by "finishing" the leaving prompt that triggers a new area and then using a prompt you stored earlier. Here is an example of it being used in Crime Scene to save about 25 seconds (when done at the earliest time): http://www.twitch.tv/dragonbane0/c/4014883

There is another glitch that is particularly useful at Lexington Station/Prologue (found by Hamers). If you position the characters head more than 90 degrees behind them and walk into a trigger, it will not activate that trigger. The Prologue one is very easy to do (see Video 1) but Lexington is way more difficult (will be in video 2). The reason it's difficult is because the crowd is all RNG and if they walk into you, Ethan can turn around and mess everything up.
