Submission Rules Question

Hey, I'm looking into getting into this run, and I was curious about one of the emulator rules:

"You should keep a record of your attempts, and a moderator may request to view these before verifying your runs" - I was curious how detailed these records would need to be, or if there's a reference I could look off of to get a sense of what's needed.

Thanks!

Any sort of way of recording the run is accepted as far as I know. Many runners stream to Twitch and many also record locally while doing so (but you can do one or the other). I won't speak for the moderators, but I doubt it'd come up unless there was something fishy about the run (it'd be incredible to post a top time without any apparent prior experience).

That makes a lot of sense - thanks for the quick response!

I'm a little late here, but that provision exists because in other communities there have been people who have come out of no where and claimed first without any prior runs on the board. Proving an emulated run was cheated in any way is actually quite difficult, but it is far less likely someone has cheated if they have a bunch of runs that show steady progression. That proof can either come in the form of streaming runs, submitting runs as their time improves, or showing proof of recordings if they do end up claiming 1st out of no where.
