This will eventually be a comprehensive guide to Any% run of iOS version of Galaxy on Fire 2 HD. The strategy here is different from PC version, which will be in a separate guide.

• Part 0, preparations

You will need a save file on Var Hastra before any dialogue is triggered. To create such a file:

1. start a game normally and watch all the cutscenes before Var Hastra
2. tap rapidly at the point on the screen where the "Menu" button is. If the dialogue starts, skip it and reload the autosave, then repeat this step
3. save into a new slot The optimal way to start a run will be to load this save file, since the timing starts at that point

• Part 0.5, general tips

1. Dismounting scanners allows you to fast-forward in hostile territory. Just remember it to understand why it is recommended to unequip the scanner at different points of the run
2. Swiping the screen increases your speed. You keep the same forward speed, and you get a burst of speed sideways. So when you are unable to fastforward, aim slightly to the side of your destination and swipe in the opposite side to reach the destination as fast as possible
3. Swiping also allows you to fast-forward when you are too close to your target (<1.3km). Swipe and then hold where the fast-forward button is. Using that will allow you to dock the station faster or reach the jumpgate faster. It doesn't save a lot of time, but it's quite easy to do

• Part 1, Mido

Mission 1. Skip the dialogue and depart from the station; Set autopilot to the Asteroid field and skip the dialogue; Hold the "Fast Forward" button (later: FF) and find an asteroid that is the closest to the station Mine 10 tons from an asteroid. Stop mining when you reach 10t and set autopilot to the station; Skip the dialogue and FF until docking;

Mission 2. The same tactics as Mission 1, but mine 25t. You will need an asteroid of class C or higher for that; When you finish mining, a pirate will attack, so you won't be able to FF;

Mission 3. Skip the dialogue and go to Hangar; Dismiss all the prompts and transfer all the gear to the ship; Equip the Nirai laser and the armor plate, dismiss the dialogue, exit Hangar and depart from the station; Set autopilot to the Waypoint and FF; When pirates show up, shoot them as fast as possible. Tip: stop your engines and just tank their shots, they won't be able to take you out on Normal difficulty; As soon as three pirates are defeated, set autopilot to the station, skip the dialogue and FF; When you dock, skip the dialogues and perform Gunant's Drill Glitch;

Gunant's Drill Glitch: Reload the autosave; Quickly tap on Hangar; You should be able to open the Hangar menu before the dialogue triggerts; Go to Ship and unequip Gunant's Drill;

Mission 4; Go to Kernstall; Skip the dialogue and go to Yrdal Gedal; Skip the dialogue and go to hangar; Unequip IMT Extract 1.3; Sell the IMT Extract and the Machine Gun; If there are Edos, buy them and equip them; If there is a Small Cabin for sale, buy and equip it as well; Go back to Kernstal;

Mission 5; Go to Hangar and check for Edos and a Small Cabin if you didn't find them on Yrdal Gedal; Go to space lounge and search for the best quest. Ideally, you'll need a Courier mission. The next candidate is a Passenger mission, if you managed to buy a Small Cabin; If you have Edos, you may consider Pirates mission, although they take more time than the previous two. Wagers and Cosmic Junk missions are a no-go. If you only find those, it is faster and easier to go to a different station and try your luck there; After finishing the mission, if you are on a station you didn't visit before (Deuter IV or Heinstein) and you don't have Edos, check for them; Go back to Kernstal; Use Edos to kill any pirate the fastest; if you don't have Edos still, just shoot them with your primary weapon. You need to kill one pirate to trigger the cutscene which will advance you to Alioth system.
