Download the .NET Core from Microsoft's website (https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-core), make sure to download the correct version for your operating system (Windows x64 for most users).

Download the DepotDownloader tool from Github (https://github.com/SteamRE/DepotDownloader/releases) and extract it somewhere you'll remember.

Open the folder you just extracted it to, type "cmd.exe" into the address bar and press enter to launch a command prompt from that location.

Run the following command to download the older patch, replacing <username> with your own steam username, and entering your password and steam guard code when prompted: dotnet DepotDownloader.dll -app 417290 -depot 417291 -manifest 6886673901088001124 -username <username>

When it's finished, you should have the older copy of the game in depots/417291/3671392. You can either run the GoaT.exe from there, or move the whole folder somewhere more convenient for you.
