Ander Bait Thanks to JacoboTheChocobo for this tip In Gemfire scenario, using Blanche, when possible, move troops from 10 to 15 (you can set everything to 000). If Ander takes the bait, he will attack 15 so you retreat back to 10 (or 16 if it's available). This leaves Ander as the ruler of 15 with a very weak force. The bait was successful! Now you can attack 15 and have a good chance of an Ander capture/banish without Ander being landlocked!

Bounce Term used when initiating a battle where you have no intention to win/will retreat but the computer wastes their Gem/5th unit.

Defect Strats Defection gives you immediate control of a province, anywhere on the map and the speedrun heavily abuses the fact there are vassals that will defect somewhat freely.

Early <vassal> or Breakfast with <vassal> An expression used when you defect a vassal in the first attempt/month. For example, "Early Hubert" or "Breakfast with Kelvin". If a month elapses but the defect is still possible to keep the run alive then it would be "Late <vassal>" or "Lunch with <vassal>". In Ishmerian lore, some believe an early Kelvin is the sign of a good run.

Entrust Strats Thanks to Daladrus for this tip This has two major uses.

1. You no longer have to waste time making decisions in a province that you don't need to use anymore.
2. The computer AI will conduct battles in the map without going to a battlefield sequence saving SIGNIFICANT time. Entrust/Attack can be done on the SAME turn allowing you to set the resources before battle to better ensure a victory.

Free Fight Attacking a weak province with so many troops/resources that it goes straight to a victory screen (skips the battle sequence, no resources are expended).

Plunder Strats If you plunder a province to the point it has low or no food, then you can either force a free fight or if it goes to battle, simply wait out the enemy for 1 day and you will win. This strat is used heavily against Eselred's 22 province in Gemfire scenario.

Landlock Prevent the enemy family from being able to spread to unoccupied territories.

Leapfrogging You can retreat from a fight into an unoccupied, neighboring province. For instance, in Gemfire scenario you can initiate a fight from 19 to 20, and then retreat to 21.

Lyle "seed" We've noticed there are attempts where Lyle defections are possible in Gemfire scenario without Ander being banished. ShesChardcore has confirmed that if Erin gets the +2 stat boost and Ander doesn't, you can defect from Lyle. To confirm the stat boost, use View (One) and choose the Ruler. Erin will have 89 (default 87) political and Ander will have default of 95. Happy defecting!
