So I've been working on optimizing each level of FSA for my next full game run in glitchless, and I've been having trouble with two things in particular: the colored manhandla boss in 2-1 and the gems game in 2-2. They both seem to be RNG heavy and I was wondering if there are any consistent strategies to deal with them.

For the manhandla, it really likes to alternate rotation direction at random intervals and I always barely miss hitting the heads or get hit by them. However, almost all high tier speedruns I've seen make the task look easy, and anytime I get it right it's a fluke. Is there a particular setup/attack pattern in play here?

For the gems game, I know how to hit the purples consistently, but where they go appears to both be random and affected by Link's position behind the fence. Is it possible to actually manipulate where the purples go during this minigame?
