There a way to submit a run with player who uses a name that is the same as sr.com user, but it's a different runner?
Esperanto

Couldn't think of a short title.

Runner did run 22 years ago. Mr. X

Go to submit historical time and video. List Mr. X on run.

Since Mr. X is already an account on sr.com, the run links that runner to that automatically based on name. This is pretty useful most of the time; particularly co-op runs and mod added runs, etc.

However, I have a situation where Mr. X (the runner), is not the same Mr. X (sr.com user and sometimes other runner). I was wondering if there is a way to add Mr. X to the run without it hyperlinking to sr.com Mr. X.

Thanks!

Generally people will add a flag to the beginning of the username to stop it from linking.

What's the flag?

You can use the "emoji flag" text: https://emojipedia.org/flag-united-states/

copy it and paste it in front of the runner's name.

You just have to put a [] in front of the username so it won't link to an account, like []Mr. X

You can put a country code (just google " <country> 2 letter country code") in these brackets if you want, like [us]Mr. X will embed a US flag, but it's not necessary.

Use []. No flag.

You can also use a zero-width space.

Yes, but then there's a zero-width space in their name lol

Updating the players through the api could also be used

Zero-width spaces occupy literally zero width, so it's really a non-issue.

Besides, with this kind of solution there's always going to be something extra inside the name. Might as well use a character that's invisible to the naked eye.
