I have spent the past 4 hours trying to get different timers to work, but they never do. So i gave up and tried here. I want to try and speedrun mc, and I can screenshare if that helps.
Your options for a timer on a non-Windows OS is LiveSplitOne which is browser based, running regular LiveSplit through Wine or using Llanfair (I don’t recommend this one because it’s not maintained anymore).
As a note, whichever timer you pick, I do not believe any autosplitters will work - they don’t work on LiveSplitOne to my knowledge and I don’t think they work on LiveSplit running through Wine either.
Overlaying a timer has nothing to do with the software for the timer itself, you need to use software like OBS for that. Software like that will let you capture multiple sources including the game and a timer. So, find a timer that works good for you and then download OBS and setup your layout and all that fun stuff.
