Hello
first thing, i'm sorry if my english is not good but i try my best for your understand.
I'm here for question, i have a playstation first generation (FAT 500Go i believe) and i record from there for my PC (Remote PS4 and OBS Studio). Can i record to 60 FPS ? I play to Resident evil 2 and 3 currently and i and lost a lot performance.. Graphical quality and the fluidity. From this console, i must to use the 720P because i dont think 1080P will be to good idea.
Thanks everyone
Console type doesn’t change quality at all when you’re using a capture card, what matters is your PC specs. If you don’t have a strong enough CPU/GPU then you’re probably not going to be able to record in 1080p60fps. I would recommend lowering the quality and bitrate in OBS and see if you get better performance or better quality in your recordings.
@Timmiluvs I dont use a capture card, i connect my PSN account from Remote PS4 and i record my windows capture from OBS Studio. I use the automatic settings in OBS and the software set (High quality, 60 FPS, 720P). Can i record in 720P but 60 FPS ?
Okay, Remote Play will still have the same principles in that console type doesn’t impact that. OBS will let you record in whatever settings you ask it to. If 1080p isn’t working because your computer can’t handle it, then I would recommend trying 720p, yes.
If that still causes issues, you’ll have to mess with more settings or maybe try and do 30fps instead. It’s all about playing with your quality settings to find what will work for you.
