i was on the ultimate doom discord (i dont remember what it was called) and i am a guy who needs help with most things (cause im stupid) and they started like "attacking"/"bullying" (something in that style(could be me, i often think to serius)) for using chocolate doom when i asked how to record demos(i said there was a problem that i wasnt on PRboom witch everyone talked about when recording demos) and then there was a talk, i later said "IM NOT SWITCHING!" then they said "then figure youre port out" AND F**KING KICKED ME! WHY?! I JUST WANTED HELP!

since they didnt seem like they wanted to help, imma ask here, what is the easiest way to record demos on chocolate doom?

Most people in that discord are childish and argue over stupid things. I was banned from it because I shared one too many memes and a mod babyraged and banned me. It's not worth it.

Yeah it can be confusing recommendations would be crispy or prboom.

P1e made a video based on the bat file. I use PowerShell and just rerun the commands.

Example crispy-doom -complevel 3 -record e1m1uvs -warp 1 1 -skill 4

Based on the port also prboom has a timer, otherwise with crispy it has a simple timer and you need to do the math based on tics

for every port recording is done the same way, except first thing you type is different. in your case that would've been chocolate-doom and not prboom-plus or not crispy-doom

but general idea was better - there are more convenient sourceports and all "guides" that exist generally are for those ones.
