My boy @hadot and I would love to start doing some BOT COMPETITIVE speedruns. You could add a variable for the maps, so you don't need to fuck everything up and we can have it all under one category, while still having segregation. Timing starts when warmup ends and ends when the scoreboard pops up after beating them. :) b ;) b B) b
I'm kinda interested in this. What would be rules be? Can you take control of bots when you die, what difficulty should the bots be on, would there be different categories for 128/64 tick, should co-op times be mixed with solo times like the L4D1 leaderboards, should default timers be used or the 1:45/35 competitive timers, etc. A level leaderboard would probably be optimal.
It seems like a harmless idea, just something fun to run for shitters like me.
I say they should be added.
The rules would be just the default bot battles, so whatever it starts off as. (Which would be 1:55 round/40 bomb). Level leaderboards would be best, and you could even make two categories for ILs, BOTS and COMPETITIVE!
That sounds interesting considering that CS is generally unconventional when it comes to speedrunning. However I think the one thing that would detract the run is the RNG of the bots in general. Depending on which side you're on time will vary just based off of where the opponents decide to plop themselves at.
I signed up to this site today to suggest custom map speedruns. I've spent a while playing coop_mission_haunted and think it would make for a good speedrunning map. c:
