I found a thing if you are holding the keycard or tape and die, you will still have those items in you hand when you respawn. This could be used to make the route faster. It's kinda like a death warp.

it is very random for that to happen. i have tried this in some attempts and it was not likely for him to catch you after getting the keycard

ive submitted a run with that in it but it hasnt been verified yet
