I am new to speedrunning and me and my friends decided it would be fun to do a speedrun together I just wanted to know if we all had to record our own povs with timers or if only one of us needed to record and have the timer.

Also, I was wondering if we can submit the same speedrun for different categories. If we make it pretty far can we use the speedrun for the 3K and the 39K views categories at the same time or do they have to be individual runs?

All players need to record their gameplay from their own POV, but only one timer (livesplit) from the host is sufficient. You can submit multiple runs from the same recording; I’ve done the same for the 3K, 39K, 325K, and 1.8M categories
