Anaheim, CA, USAStart by showing the counter at zero after returning to the main menu, then put it to sleep. Time starts when the four LEDs turn solid, and ends when they disappear. Confirm by waking the console and showing 500 on the counter. What say you?

I'm getting close to finishing up practice for this run. I'm assuming when I do the real thing, that I start the clock on pressing "Start", and stop it when the screen fades to black after defeating Ektor. Is that correct? Or should it stop on the last hit of Ektor? Or some other time? Please let me know. Or update the rules. Thanks.
In the Metroid Fusion rules, we can start on pressing "Continue" at the beginning of the game in a completed file, so it skips the opening cutscene. Is this being considered for this run as well? I know it's not nearly as much time, but it would be nice to be able to skip the opening story text this way.
The rules for the Subspace categories list "No character", and I wanted to make sure I understood what that means before I start trying to run this. Sorry if this is answered somewhere else. I couldn't find it :|
