You mean New Game+? That is a mode when you beat the game. It will allow you to start with all the items you collected in New Game.

Basically time passes on frame basis. If you allow the game to run at 120 fps animations will run twice as fast as 60 fps. VSync basically gives all players an even playing field.

All stuff is there aside from the possibility to bind multiple actions to a single button (for some reason) and relics to an individual button as far as I know.

I agree with you. My thinking about this is:

• Losing cards might turn out to be pretty RNG heavy (especially compared to anything Shovel Knight by now) and to be super off putting for any old and new runners
• Route deviation possibilities will be a nice addition and might make the run more enjoyable overall
• Although it will be pretty unlikely after one point, it is theoretically possible that we find a Lower %. What do we do then? Split categories, obsolete old runs? Let us not go that route

Generally speaking I find categories to be needed when we have meaningfully different instruments approaching the run (Low%, Any%, NG+) or meaningfully different competion criteria (100%, pet memec, all cipher coins). I feel we should stick to that mentality when choosing the rules. Losing cards to a random dude will not improve a run in a meaningful way (unless we do a Going Broke run which I am totally in for)

A question: Do medals increase %? And if they not, do you feel it will be proper to include them as a criteria for Low% just so we stick to the usual Shovel Knight formula? I am kind of 50/50 here.

I do not have too many arguments but one. As a person who follows the Super Metroid speedruns I am greatly frustrated by the amount of notifications for people who submit fake WR runs. Even if they are 1, 2 or 5 runs a week. I would really love to see Super Metroid actively moderated BEFORE the runs are allowed to participate which will most probably not going to happen but I would really hate Diablo 2 to go that way. Yeah, I know D2 is astronomically less popular of a speed game but still, fake submissions are fake submissions and in D2 cheap spliced runs should be a lot easier to make than in Super Metroid. That is just my opinion. If we want runs to appear in the leaderboards up to a day earlier then we may need to think of more moderators.

Binding two buttons is super helpful for speedrunning Shovel of Hope at least for me. Switch version has the Custom Knight option. I do not think you can speedrun this on PC (I may be wrong). If I had Switch, Shovel Knight would have been the first game I would have bought. Regardless of that fact I would never give up on my PC version. I feel they both have differences that make them a worthy copy each.

That is the right decision, Slimo! I am sure that you will achieve good times ones again but I cannot say that I am 100% happy to see you back. I think the way you handled the situation was improper. I wonder when the 41:19 would be approved. Runs get approved rather slow in Super Metroid.

It is like a new game but just an extension. It is attached to a game. Check the Shovel Knight Category Extension for example: https://www.speedrun.com/skext A lot of speed games has one. The most popular ones like - Super Metroid, Super Mario 64 etc. most definitely have it.

Why don't we create a Diablo 2 Category Extension like there is for a lot of other games?

Thank you for the try Teo. I am not sure what happened to Slimoleq. I am not sure whether I really believe he cheated or if it is a "Leave me alone" message but anyway. It would have been good if he at least said how he cheated so that you are prepared when approving runs the next time.

Hi Guys, We already did that for CI2. We will do this for any game. We did not do it because there were no people to run multiplayer. I guess Magiobiwan needs to do it. I do not know if I have the permissions. Please hop on the Discord server (links somewhere in the forum or the resources) and touch base with him.

I don't know what made him do this and I am not sure how deleting all of your runs, accounts and videos helps you recharge. I hope Slimo has a good time taking a break but certainly cannot agree that a runner should be able to just erase his times from the site. Usain Bolt cannot just go public and say "Oh, guys, for some reason I do not want to be the record holder on 100m so please forget I claimed the record at all." The fact that 100m runs are a lot more popular than D2 runs and are a social phenomena more or less is completely irrelevant. The logic behind one or the other is the same. I feel that Speedrun.com needs do not use its right to keep track on the runs that happened and preserve speedrunning history. Otherwise it just is not different than a Fb group of people that have the same hobby.
