Madrid, SpainI believe subcategories are the way to go. Any% no RNG manip is still fun to run but not having a leaderboard for itself kind of kills the point of running it, and 3xMBD manip is a totally different game.
RNG manip also removes knowing how to face final 6, which is a huge factor on this game.
@HauntedQuest maggie speed is fixed in ab+. She starts with a speed up pill, so her speed is no longer that annoying
First of all, 9 characters is perfect to me. I won't make it 11 or 14, those are too anoying for me (I had a sub 1:30 on 7 char but never tried to do 11-13 on ab, those are too tedious and long)
I don't like Keeper because of what HauntedQuest said. You have to reset for big 5, shadow or lilbrim because his low tear rate makes it impossible to start mid-to-low tier starts. I'm up for swapping Eve in and taking Isaac or Maggie.

Honestly, unles booster packs do include a lot of items, i doubt it'll matter to have them together. I'm up for the column, but we'll see when first one gets released (We don't know if they are going to be like 3 items and 5 rooms or if they will bring relevant content like new starts)
My thoughts on the cathegorys are: 1 char, 7 char, 12 char (non-secret chars), 14 chars, 1 seeded and MAYBE a misc 1 char delirium incase someone wants to run that
I appreciate the effort made by the people who wants to run RNG manip. That's why i'm saying they deserve their own leaderboard.
No actual reason to keep them on the same leaderboard. Why would you guys not let people who likes no rng manip runs have their own leaderboards with their own times?
There's no reason imo. RNG manip runs are gonna be on top of the leaderboard anyway. Just let people play the cathegory they want.
Why would you want no-RNG manip runs to be stuck on the same leaderboard as your RNG manip run? Just to see your run in top of other 60 runs who use old strats? Don't be like this. We all enjoy the game. Don't ruin it for the people who likes any% legacy.
Why do they have to be on separate leaderboards? Kind of easy. RNG manip runs are 1h faster than any% legacy. So if you keep them on the same leaderboard you'll have all the RNG manip runs in top of the board and then every single non-rng manip run. Is that what you really want guys?
Leaving them in the same cathegory would kill the weekly races, would kill the most played cathegory and after someone makes a perfect, unbeatable rng-manipped run, it would kill the community itself.
Just don't be like this. Separate boards hurt no one, except the ones who want to think they're better than X people because their run is in top of 60 runs who use different strats that can't compete with theirs. Can you imagine Super Mario any% and any% warpless runs being on the same cathegory? This is exactly the same.
Enjoy the game and let others enjoy. Creating separate boards won't hurt RNG-manip runs. Not creating them will hurt legacy% runs.
I really don't understand all the trouble with this. It seems like an obvious solution to create separate boards for 100% different strats, unless like i said you want to see your run in top of other 60 and think you're a proplayer because of that.

Hey! I need help on setting up OBS for this game. I've run many other games but i really don't know how to setup OBS to stream this game.
Can someone link me a guide or teach me to? I tried to use "Capture Window" on ePSXe and "Capture Window" on LiveSplit but it doesn't seem to work, since as soon as i open the game the timmer dissapears from the vid (i can link you guys a short vid so you can see what happens?
I support zam's idea of banning missingHUD.
So let's make this clear once and for all. If zam's time is legit, then should we allow using those kind of scripts to start a sub6 meg on 7 char runs?
You're gonna say it doesn't affect the run, well, neither does resetting for blank card emperor knife on meg using the script since technically you can do it "the normal way", right?
For me, that's a TAS. Just creating this post so we can discuss it and make the rules clear on that aspect (Rules have to be clear on way more aspects. If we leave them as they are right now, cheating item pools is not banned)

Missing Hud 2 is not allowed, i'm sure of that. However, the easiest way would be to run with the vanilla game. If you don't like the game music just turn it off and play the music you want in background.

We've been asking for this since rebirth. I dunno why this is not a rule yet.
To prove how easy it is to cheat, i made a sub 50 7 chars run cheating and not showing seeds. I don't wanna upload it to the leaderboard, but if someone says that it's no big deal to no show seeds well i will just to show it is...
What u guys think? Item tracker shows the seed, so unless you're cheating there's no reason to not show it..
I think we need to ban co-op baby. It's just unfair with keyboard runners. I don't own a controller and i can't do the coop baby thing since you can't bind co-op baby spawn to the same controller/keyboard you're using (No, you can't, i've already tried), which means i'm on a unfair disadvantage against everyone using it.
Racing bans co-op baby, i think speedruning should ban it.
Also, specially on BB, you used to play safe to ensure you had 3 hearts for DD. With Co-op it doesn't even matter, which means i'm forced to play safe and a controller player can just go yolo because deals cost him 1 heart while they cost me 3. It's just unfair with keyboard players and it should be banned.
