One other question - can runs for Any% and All Episodes be the same VOD or would they need to be entirely separate dedicated runs?
I was planning to start speedrunning this now that it has been released on Steam. The Steam initial release version includes episodes 8 (Sandstorm) and 9 (Sneaking) which are after the party end point for any% happens.
Is there any plan to have a category that includes going through episodes 8 and 9? If so, what would be the end point for that run? Seems like it would be when controls dissapear when you take the elevator out of chapter 9 since this would mirror when the controls disappear after the party supplies are made. For clarity, the Steam version doesn't show the wheel in the bottom left corner, but does still show the action button control in the bottom right corner and it disappears at the same times (loading times) as the iOS version.
Really happy to see this change!
The two single loop categories have been updated to remove any requirement for the video showing how many levels remain such as "Video must include the "## levels remain" screen after the run ends to verify save data was deleted prior to run."
This was done because the game, as we all currently know it, is prone to crashing and especially frequently crashes right before showing that specific screen. Since that is well after the final input from the player, requiring that for verification could nullify an otherwise amazing run through no fault of the player and after the run was completed.
If the game allows you to, please continue to show this screen but it is by no means required.
Adjusted your time to 1:23.233 since your timer started after initial movement; Mod Note: Retimed (Start Frame: 266, End Frame: 5260, FPS: 60, Total Time: 1:23.233) Amazing run!
GG! Good solid run! Gotta love getting a new PC and being forced to run this most tedious of categories due to the lack of cloud saves
Congratulations on making a very poor decision and starting to run this mess! That was a pretty clean first run except for Isaac and manbun just throwing some unfriendly moves your way. Looking forward to you finding the extreme tolerance to boring cut scenes to run it again
I've been running them, mainly all gems. They are a lot of fun and some of the movement tech is really good. Unfortunately I came to this game after it felt like these boards were dead so I never bothered to submit any of my runs.
