Late to this, but I do like the idea of starting a New Game + immediately after doing an Any% run. But I do think it might be better suited as a Category Extension rather than a main category. I don't know how I would request for a Category Extension to be added though.
If anyone is able to provide insight into getting Apicula to work or is willing to try it themselves (or MKDS Course Modifier), then please send such info here. This OOB is not much, but could potentially lead to something bigger.
I don't expect it to be active or populated, but I figured that like this we can get any information (and communication) in real time. It's intended to be a speedrun server but fans of this game are welcome as well. Edit: I've decided to link a permanent invite here. Hope I don't regret this. Edit 2: This server has since been rebranded to encompass all Spider-Man DS games for speedrunning. As of now, it's solely on WoS and Shattered Dimensions. https://discord.gg/Bk2eSJvgwt
Just so that I can compile any new discoveries and helpful tricks for runs in general. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1j3N9SbDlvlWbt2ptXpPec5ukqSIS3gJ
Hopefully its fine to post it here, this was done last night. (I'll delete this post if I'm not meant to post it here) But let's gooooo, a sub-40!
Would that run have to be posted here in this forum thread or in a separate thread? Either way, I'd be more than happy to post a link to my current on-cam run from last year, though I do plan to try and stream another run sometime this month.
Hello! I guess I'm not too integrated into speedrunning (as in, I suppose I'm semi-casual), but since I've made some attempts for one game, I suppose its about time I joined. I've been propelled to do speedrun trials for one of my favorite childhood games--Spider-Man Web of Shadows (DS)--by cakemaphoneige, who had done an any% TAS of it and I've been doing some attempts since 2018. So that's my main priority, but I do hope to try some runs for other games I've played like Lego Star Wars II DS, Battle of Giants Dinosaurs, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (Wii), etc.
