Just put it in. There's no way it could negatively affect running.
You all have discussed such a small feature so much, seriously no vote needed, just do it. We'll see the results in a month or two.
As for classic modes or some such, discuss it after if TA-filter improves anything, then at least you got data to use.
There is already too many filter and categories. I'd first drop several categories and filters before adding another one, otherwise I'm fine with it. Gonna vote No until that.
Is it possible to run Mednafen on Apple Silicon? At least on the surface it seems it doesn't work with CrossOver or Parallels on M1?
That said there will always be more lag on a LCD than on a CRT. Also Windows drivers do introduce a bit of input lag.
There's a bit of an argument what would be the emulator to run the emulator categories for CTR.
BizHawk seems to have the most amount of input lag and weird dropped frames. I would not use this. Mednafen has significantly less input lag and dropped frames. It seems to work just fine on older PC hardware. RetroArch if you enable Run-Ahead even by one frame and tinker with the GPU settings you should lower the input lag to lower than Mednafen and closer or less than a real PS1. But RetroArch is pretty heavy for old PC hardware and is quite painful to configure. Run-Ahead will disable or cause issues with saves states tho.
My personal view is that if you have relatively new PC hardware you should use RetroArch but otherwise Mednafen.
Any thoughts?
