There are already boards for this mode on the regular TF2 leaderboards, shown here: https://www.speedrun.com/tf2/levels

Genuinely confused how this got added, these boards should be removed as soon as they can be.

Thread of new findings relating to glitches and skips. Anyone is free to post their findings. To start off, I'll post my current findings with video:

Thursday - Fix Race Keep Weapons (v1.0.4)

By putting the weapons into the bin, opening the door, getting back your weapons, and then ragdolling through the invisible barrier surrounding the door thanks to getting back your weapons, you'll be through the other side and can use your weapons during the race.

Thursday - Pit Boss Fire Skip (v1.0.4)

Lets you skip all triggers relating to fire and enemy spawns. Doing a ragdoll jump over the rubble next to the first fire will skip all triggers and can let you progress to the vault and end the errand like normal.

Found out this game exists so I've been playing it through recently. Still doing the story mode and I got to the Prairie Entrance levels. Out of the all the levels I've played so far, these levels seem to be the most exploitable when it comes to out of bounds and such, and I found one today for the Gnoll Patrol mission in the first area (the second one is a boss).

Couple things to note:

  • Since this is Source, you can gain speed by holding forward and rapidly pressing any of the directional keys. You can also gain speed by hugging walls.
  • Spamming the shit out of dodge and heading in a direction can let you climb terrain. Note that it has to be between two things that can trick the game into thinking you're on proper ground, rather than messing with you and have you slide off. Shown at 0:50 in the video when I was first setting it up.
  • Getting to max sprint and dealing with slopes is an interesting combination. 1:02 and above in the video showcases that, as you need max sprint to even be able to make that jump.
  • I've only tested this with Miri currently. Other characters might act differently when it comes to this skip or maybe even more. I know Eira has a warping ability but it probably won't be useful for this skip specifically, and I have no idea if you can manipulate the warp position.
  • Also Miri is kinda busted when it comes to her dodge and dealing with slopes. Her neutral move with right click (I have exactly zero idea what the move is called bare with me here) is good for getting up stuff, also shown in the video, but it is more in general.
  • TL;DR funny source shit is finally useful in this game for a speedrun

If anyone has any questions I'd like to hear them. I don't really know where else to put this so here's just this random post in the forums. I also know the boards have literally nothing related to the story mode on them and is about the Ein Lacher battles and that's perfectly okay. I am eventually planning on running the whole story mode after I'm done with it and I route it properly.

Bejeweled 2 was one of many games released to be played on seats within airplanes, here is the website for proof here: https://web.archive.org/web/20141108100400/http://dtisoftware.com/games/bejeweled-2/

It would mean the world to me and many others if the AirplaneSeats platform (under obscure platforms) would be added to this game. Thank you in advance! God loves you but not me.

Hi, I know exactly where you guys got the name idea from, and I would like to apologize in advance because I was one of the reasons why that name change happened the way it did. It pained me to see another game go down this route.

Just wondering why you guys thought that was a good idea rather than just do (PS2/PSP), and could perhaps a name change happen if people agree on it?

edit: since it was changed i guess context should be provided, the old game title was Toy Story 3: The Video Game (Asobo). the thing i am talking about are the boards for the 2 console ratatouille games, which are on src as Ratatouille (Asobo) and Ratatouille (Heavy Iron)

Hi there, long time lurker for this game, I've always been interested in speedruns of this game, and I am really happy stuff is being found for it now. Much cooler to watch now than it was a few years ago back when the only recent runs were the 15 minute Any% Cheats run and the 1:22 All Missions PC run.

I think with the new influx of players and new stuff being found which will drive even more people to run/be interested in this game, the state of the leaderboards should probably change to reflect that. First off, I wanna talk about how the Any% category is laid out, more specifically the cheats subcategory. Is it really necessary to lay them underneath Any%? I can sort of get why it's like that, since this is a 2 hour long speedrun, and Any% with cheats is a really short category, anybody can get into it, but the issue is; it's just not Any%. The standard definition of Any% is just beating the game as fast as possible without cheats. This is not Any%, this is just Cheat%. (Also, quick question, what is the deal with it also being allowed in All Missions? That doesn't even have a subcategory, it's just at the very end of the rules.)

I don't know how many times discussion was brought up over this, but I feel like now something should probably be done about it. It's not really the best outlook for the game to outside viewers either, hell, people on the forums weren't even too sure what it was to begin with and had to get explained to them more than once that yes, this isn't a glitch, this is a cheat. This isn't 3 years ago when most people were busy doing ILs, this is the current day where people are actually giving a shit about full game runs. It should be reflected properly now that people care.

I kinda don't really have much else to say, the cheats thing is kinda the biggest thing here. I don't know what to think about the PC version on these boards either. Unlike the Billy Hatcher community, you guys actually acknowledge that you have a PC port and have it on the leaderboards, but since it's so different compared to console, it's just shoehorned into All Missions. I don't think it warrents another board, especially since all you can do with it is All Missions and ILs, but I also don't think just outright banning and denying it's existence would be a good idea either, especially since it's a more available version of the game and much easier to play. It's just there.

I've rambled for a bit too long so I'll stop there. I just needed a place to write down my thoughts. I wanna hear what everyone else thinks of course which is why I'm posting this. Hopefully something will happen. Thank you for reading.

We've decided to make some changes to the leaderboard today, here are a list of all that was changed.

  • New Rule Changes, please check each category and each variable to see the list of updated rules. We changed the timing to start after the beginning cutscene ends in Welcome to Earth (either by skipping in Wii or just watching it all the way through in 360/PS3), and as such, all previous runs have been retimed to remove 24 seconds for Wii, and 1:15 for 360/PS3. There is also a video cutoff now, so you don't require a video to have your run verified on the boards if it's above a certain time.
  • All previous runs that were on the boards but rejected due to the rule change requiring a video have been re-verified and are now on the boards again to stay.
  • New Theme (represents the Unlocked Level Select menu in the Wii version)
  • New Cover, which goes along nicely with the covers of the other 2 WALL-E games (PC/PS2/PSP and DS)
  • New Moderator (aka me, hi everyone)
  • Wii U has been added as a platform, so if you run on Wii U, please submit as Wii U.
