Some techs and tips for New Game / Furry Frenzy

This game has a low entry skill gap, which is good when compared to its PS2 counterpart! I feel like this game has underrated movement, although most of your runs will be rolls. Here is some stuff I found when playing for a month:

  1. Spyro can roll out of a platform then buffer a jump/double jump mid air. I dubbed it RollJump to make it simple. Gets you out of platforms faster.

  2. Multi-Attacks: When enemies are closer, side by side, facing spyro, you can spam Y and attack both enemies in the same combo (Must be a minimum of 2). Sort of essential in arenas. https://imgur.com/SH2wN95

  3. Jump dive attack makes you land on platforms faster, no lag and practical for landing on close surfaces. Careful though, never dive attack in water! The game takes the out of bound surface into account, so if you dive attack in water you'll lose practically all your hp.

  4. Skip in Ignitus fight: credit to Shadowknight28 who first used it (and I assume, discovered it). If you roll in lava, then buffer a RollJump, you can skip the rock that blocks the way to Ignitus fight! Aim the left hurtbox of the rock. Essential to save time! https://imgur.com/fw97zNt

  5. Frame perfect hit on all bosses: If you hit any bosses a frame close to when they get dizzy, you'll have some time to get extra damage. Makes it faster to defeat them.

  6. You only need MAXIMUM 7500 spirit points for a regular run. You can even tone it down to 6000 if you dont want to max out lighting fury 4. You need to max out lighting damage though. https://imgur.com/PskB0s0

Some tips:

  • Memorize your hardest puzzle in this game, or take screenshots and videos if you find a particular puzzle difficult for you!
  • Fire and lighting are the only practical elements required for a run.
  • Rolling is the fastest way to move, so you will be rolling 99% of the time to get anywhere. Although, you can dive attack to land faster on platforms.
  • Lighting power is the best element of all to have because of its high damage output and its speed boost ability with the purple jauge. Save it to make some skips
  • Collect blue orbs to facilitate upgrades for elemental power. Get what you can, but don't lose time for it.
  • Always upgrade fire and lighting Damage output first in the update menu. You can upgrade for more later in your run.

That's pretty much it!
