Inconsistencies without Vsync

I've noticed that if you have a good computer and you get really high frame rates it is possible to get things in the game to move faster than they should. So far the most noticeable one for me so far is getting on the raft in Current Events with high fps can cause you to zip straight to the portal than the raft is actually capable of. People with better computers are going to have an edge on other players that don't. So I think everyone should have to show a visible start to their runs to show they're using Vsync since it is enabled upon game's launch. At least until there becomes another option available to cap the fps at 60 or the dev corrects the inconsistencies at high fps.

Can confirm, my PC isn't something that I would call 'good', but difference with potato-vsync and fast is noticeable. I suppose it's a reasonable requirement, but what do we do with old runs? I had vsync off in all of mine.

I will make changes to the rules to include a requirement to show that V-Sync is enabled and an fps counter of some kind, at least until the developer decides to fix the issue. Framerate must be shown to be at 60 or lower. My guess is that it is the classic framerate is tied to game speed thing like fallout 76.

As for old runs, I think I will leave them be, but I recommend that you submit new ones to keep with the new rules.

I'm open to suggestions if this decision doesn't seem fitting.

Steam has a built in fps counter but in my new run it is covered by the timer. I've moved my splits in obs to the right so it should be visible now. As well I'm recording in a fixed region now to show the whole window. I plan on submitting a new time really soon with the new set up. Just gotta get the urn!

Hey guys, not sure if anyone here still views this games forum, but I wanted to do a stream of me running this game and was wondering if anyone here could tell me how to get my game to be capped at 60 fps so I could submit a valid run.

Well if you have 60Hz monitor enabling vsync should do it. Otherwise you can use external software like RTSS.
