So, first, I'm contemplating whether or not to get rid of the loads and not count them for time, but I need to find out if load times vary at all (like per run, or per PC, or CPU, etc).

Second, I'm debating whether to change the end signal from "credit roll" to "black out screen"; this one I'm more leaning towards the credits but I'd like other opinions.

Third, I don't have anything for third so I'll end this here. xD

If you have other ideas, please tell me so. Thx !

Yeah, your level 1 was better than mine. I need to figure out if the load times vary. That could easily play a big part.

I'd definitely look into a load remover for Livesplit. The loads in the game are terribly inconsistent and account for about 50% of the run time, making the leaderboard times pretty much incompareable.

I can see if I can work something out.

Load times do not vary. Compared every run I could find w/ timers to make sure. (y)

So after some timing on my end with more recordings. I've found that the load times to be inconsistent. I think the only fix would be to take out the load screens from timings starting from when the load screen appears to when the screen disappears.
